Young Investigator Travel Grant

The ISSLS Young Investigator Travel Grant of US$1,000.00 assists young researchers and clinicians with registration, travel and accommodation costs associated with attending the ISSLS Annual Meeting.
In 2026, 10 travel grants will be offered to young investigators whose abstracts have been submitted and accepted for presentation for the ISSLS Annual Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa in 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must not be a member of ISSLS
  • Must not have previously attended an in-person ISSLS Annual Meeting
  • Must be submitting abstract as the presenting/first author
  • Must be a graduate student; or be four years post-qualification; if an independent researcher, be under the age of 40
  • Must attend and present abstract at the ISSLS Annual Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa in 2026. If you are not the first author on the submitted abstract, you are not eligible for this award. Strictly no changes to authorship can be made following submission.
  • Deadline for receipt of a complete application form is 1 November 2026
